Self-excited air flow passage changing device for periodic pressurization of soft robot

Abstract Recently pneumatic-driven soft robots have been widely developed. Usually, the operating principle of this robot is inflation and deflation elastic inflatable chambers by air pressure. Some need rapid periodic their to generate continuous motion such as progress or rotational motion. However, if needs operate far from pressure source, long tubes are required supply its chambers. As a result, there large delay in supplying chamber, slows down. In paper, we propose compact device that changes airflow passages self-excited generated airflow. The diameter length 20 50 mm, respectively, can be driven small pipe. Our proposed in-pipe mobile connected move pipe dragging into it. To apply other robots, also discuss method adjusting output frequency.
